Broderick Street Adult Residential Facility: RAMS
provides the board & care, mental health, and medical support services at
the Broderick Street Adult Residential Facility (BSARF), which is licensed by
the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Community Care Licensing
Division (CCLD). The program operates in partnership with the Housing
& Urban Health (HUH) and Community Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) sections of
San Francisco Department of Public Health (SF DPH) and can accommodate 33
adults. This is a community-based home for individuals who are struggling with both
mental and medical illness. Due to lack of sufficient resources and
support, many BSARF residents might otherwise be living in hospitals,
institutions or
be homeless. The multi-disciplinary, caring, and committed staff and program structure provides
residents with stability, group and individual activities, safety and support,
while participating in a healing community that nourishes a sense of balance and meaning both in the world and in themselves. This facility provides long-term
stay for dual and triple diagnosed, hard-to-place clients, some of
whom are monolingual Asian Americans. Treatment services, therapeutic
activities, language-capacity, acupuncture, food and leisure activities
are tailored to fit the various needs of the client population. Bilingual
services are offered, as is the opportunity for clients to work with the
Hire-Ability Vocational Services. Admission into the Broderick Street
Adult Residential Facility
is facilitated through SF DPH-CBHS, Community Programs Placement team.
Francis Residential Care Home: RAMS provides and facilitates the bilingual mental health services & cultural activities component to the residents of Francis Residential Care Home, which is a 24-hour, Asian-focused residential care facility for consumers with mental health disabilities.
